PRACTICE AND DISCOVERY WITH THE SEASON'S ARTISTS

Because FIRST TIMES require special attention, four times a year the TJP invites families to come and discover the theater in a playful way. Immerse yourself in the world of one of the season's artists! Enlivened by this sensitive experience, we'll enjoy a moment of artistic practice together before attending the show.

Pampering language

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21

Petite Scène

Let the theater be as busy as the kitchen. That we take care of ourselves and others, like flowers in the garden. That we find an ideal space for conversation, as in a living room... All these things make up the place in which we will meet. We'll play with the poetry of words. For what purpose? To do good.

In Japan, when an object breaks, it is repaired with gold and becomes even more precious. In this workshop, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugiGold symbolizes the care of each other's bodies. We'll gently manipulate and carry each other like puppets, dancing together to mend the wounds of our hearts and bodies.

In the paper cave of Aux commencementsWe'll learn to use our hands, fingers and bodies to create animals and characters straight out of our imaginations. Guided by an ombroman artist, we'll create silhouettes projected onto the walls like a cinema of origins.

Accompanied by a kamishibaiIn this small paper theater, we'll discover the story of a child who falls into an upside-down world and entrusts a secret to save him. We'll reinterpret the story with our bodies, and try our hand at building this little Japanese castelet.
