ARTIST SUPPORT
After many years as a performer, I had to devote a lot of time to gaining recognition for my creative approach. When I founded my company, I was often told that I didn't need help because I was touring so much. The transition between these two roles is still not very well accepted in France.
It took 10 years for people to stop telling me it was a shame I wasn't on stage.
This season, the TJP has chosen to support Gabriel Dufay and Laure Werckmann who have performed with directors such as Denis Podalydès or Éric Ruf, but need support in their own creative process. They are in a second phase of emergence, asserting their artistic identity and cross-disciplinarity. I would like the TJP to support them by co-producing them, to give impetus and momentum to their projects.
We also support the development of artists from Grand Est schools such as Juliette Steinerwho already has a strong artistic and political universe, or Julien Ladenburger who is creating his first show. The TJP offers them residencies, co-production support, choreographic insight and assistance in structuring their company.
