Ismaël is 20 years old. That Sunday, he disappeared. His family found him lying by the side of a road, behind his parents' house, at the edge of the forest. No one understands. Ismaël had never been a problem. Before lying down, he wrote a note: "I'm fine. I won't say any more. I won't get up again." And he's been keeping his promises ever since, upsetting the order of things with this silent disobedience. Ismaël is surrounded by two parents, a brother, a little sister and a friend. A joyful, supportive little band whose minds and hearts are put to the test by this unshakeable determination to remain silent. There are also those who know little or nothing about him, yet who all have an opinion on the situation and what should be done. There are also those who believe that Ismaël's case is everyone's business. In the manner of a pointillist painting, a text-based show that is also physical and visual theater, We, in the mess questions what we owe ourselves or think we owe ourselves, our good intentions and our interference, our crumbly, porous borders. Each of Estelle Savasta's shows starts with a question, and at the end of the journey raises many others. How does a story transform us?

Director, author, Estelle Savasta founds the company Hippolyte's heart aches in 2005. For each creation, she puts a question at the center of the stage: how does one become a monster? How does one become a girl? What binds us together? The aim is not to answer these questions, but to bring artists together to find out together what kind of story to play, and to better understand what we are going through individually and collectively. The creative process is also shared with artistic collaborators who are the same age as the audience for the shows, or that of the invented characters: young unaccompanied minors, children, teenagers... We, in the mess was the subject of a long-term residency in a high school, followed by shared rehearsals with young people in their twenties around the theme of disobedience and transgression.

TACTILE APERO
Friday May 17 | 19h
With artists from We, in the mess, Marion Even and the View (D)'Overall
For this artistic aperitif, let's discover theater with our eyes closed. Accessing an artistic universe by relying on our four senses means allowing ourselves other sensations and accepting to trust others. It means taking the risk of not seeing everything, but of feeling something different.
Marion Even is a visual artist and mask maker. The association View (D)'Overall fights against the sedentarization of the visually impaired by bringing together the visually impaired, blind and sighted to share the diversity of views.
