François Cervantes & Catherine Germain
Eager to make contact with people, Arletti prowls around public places and steals the satchel of a researcher who has fallen asleep waiting for his lecture on Genesis. She enters the room in her place. The clown steps into the spotlight. In 1995, The 6ème day was born of Catherine Germain's desire to be alone on stage with Arletti, the clown she created in 1987. For the first time, Arletti confronts language as a foreign object, a source of fascination but also of difficulty. What has she come to expose in the light of day? In this unusual lecture, Arletti tries to understand how, on the sixth day of the world's creation, the human adventure began.
Catherine Germainan actress trained at the Rue Blanche - École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre, meets with François Cervantesauthor and director, in 1986, the same year he created his own company. The company. He is the company's artistic director, in search of a theatrical language that can tell the story of today's world, cross borders and speak directly to the audience. The actress collaborates and performs in most of the company's creations, which are the fruit of in-depth research into the work of the actor, particularly in the field of clowning and masking. This work is based on the writing of François Cervantes, between an impulse towards the origins of theater and a contemporary gesture seeking the friction between the real and the imaginary.
