TANABATA
Eléonore Bourrel
Art in every sense
It's a story that begins with a thrill, a spark, an encounter. There's a first name. And then a body, which grows little by little. A skin to feel, ears to listen, eyes to look, a nose to smell. And all the rest: figures to build up, lullabies to fall asleep to, poetry to escape to... In a soothing universe, dancer Eléonore Bourrel and musician Marie Taglang combine their bodies, breaths and voices to tell this story. Through her observations and practice of the body, Eléonore Bourrel has opened her mind to movements, from physiological currents to the energies deployed in acrobatic and choreographic gesture. Her encounter with Marie Taglang gave birth to dances and sounds nourished by the notion of cycle, like a rhythm, a breath. Starting with minute vibrations, sound becomes music, from whispered, spoken and sung voices, from the resonance of the carillon to the melodies of the accordion and saxophone. Free reaction show, Tanabata speaks directly to the very young, to their intense perception, while reconnecting the older adults and children accompanying them to their own senses and sensory memories. Under a sky of mobiles, everything is in motion, inviting us to leave our cozy sheepskin nests and join in the dance.
Dancer, acrobat, Eléonore Bourrel trained at the Écoles Nationales des Arts du Cirque in Châtellerault and Rosny-sous-Bois. She specializes in balancing, acrobatics, aerial silks and corde lisse, always while dancing. With various companies, she crosses fields of expression: creations for young audiences, choreographic and circus shows, cabarets and performances in the public space. Certified as an educator in Body-Mind Centering©, she has a particular focus on early childhood. In 2019, she creates the company Art in every sense and develops her work around movement - body, voice, sound and matter. To create performances and experiments, she invites artists, somatic practitioners and educators to cross-examine the mobility of the living body and the imagination. Accordion and saxophone player, Marie Taglang participates in some of the company's creations. A musician, performer and composer, she works with a number of artists, music groups and performing arts companies. For several years, like Eléonore Bourrel, she has worked in the medical-social field, in early childhood facilities and in parent-child workshops.
