Today, for the benefits of an unusual experiment, we're inaugurating a new classroom with a decor as beautiful as a print. The teacher, Miss Olassido, is getting ready to give a lesson in living together, with a focus on obedience and respect for rules. And it's just as well, because today, a new pupil, Miss Chissa Kobé, arrives straight from Japan, a country renowned for its uprightness and flawless organization. But the overzealous model pupil upsets the teacher and makes a mess of things. A sideways step into the abnormal and you experience chaos and transformation. It doesn't take much for roles to be reversed, identities to be revealed and literally everything to be disobeyed. What if disobedience meant obeying yourself? What if disobedience meant giving space to "ma", that void which, in Japanese philosophy, leaves room for the possible? What if it meant creating my creature? Taking us to the shores of an imaginary sea, the tandem of actress Delphine Lanson and dancer Chiharu Mamiya compose an ode to freedom and creativity. 

Since its creation in 1995, Anomaly plays with genres and explores new territories at the frontiers of contemporary circus, through artistic collaborations renewed with each new creation. Since 2015, the company's path has been shaped by the choices made by its co-directors, who are at once circus artists, actors, directors and filmmakers. They willingly shake up the codes and references of contemporary creation, inventing a physical and fantastic theater with an aesthetic research partly inspired by cinema. In a universe straddling the real and the imaginary, Anomalie invents stories that are often about transformation. Co-Artistic Director, Delphine Lanson is a director, actress and producer. She works closely with circus and dance artists, including Kaori Ito, in writing, directing and performing. Dancer and choreographer, Chiharu Mamiya is a regular contributor to Anomalie. A performer for numerous dance companies, including Kubilai Khan Investigations, she founded the Elbissop company in 2014.
