Coat racks that walk, tables and seats that skid and spin as a wall opens to reveal a couple of dancers. Aurélia Thierrée evolves amidst optical illusions and visual effects that form a marvellous backdrop. But this tormented mental space has a mind of its own, and our kleptomaniac soon finds herself caught in her own trap, manipulated by her surroundings. Between new magic and the art of mime, things come to life and give a hard time to the artist whose dress twirls according to her own desires, refusing to let herself hang. In the tradition of the Chaplin family, her mother Victoria Thierrée Chaplin designed this piece full of gentle madness. While the objects rebel, the humor summons our childhood in the middle of imaginary land. It's a time when we enjoy bewitching things. The successive flights and metamorphoses of our heroine, accompanied by dancer Jaime Martinez, combine with a bestiary of chimeras in an ode to freedom and inventiveness. Bleak reality is challenged by a poetic reinvention of life through play.

Founder with Jean-Baptiste Thierrée of Cirque Imaginaire and Cirque Invisible, Victoria Chaplin makes phantasmagoria the center of his artistic approach. Their children James and Aurelia travelled the world's stages with them, taking part in the epics that marked their era, before setting off on their own. After The Oratorio of Aurelia and Wall murmurs, Bells and Spells is the third show created with and for Aurélia Thierrée. Trained by her parents, she joined the Tiger Lillies, London's cult and wacky band, for the first time. Tiger Lillies Circusbefore moving on to cabaret and theater, between New York and Berlin. Her film credits include roles under the direction of Miloš Forman, Coline Serreau and Jalil Lespert.
