Hansel and Gretel, two adventurous children, get lost in a fantastic forest and come across some surprising characters: a vegetarian ogre, a Chihuahua who thinks he's a big bad wolf, and a wacky witch. Through challenges, laughter and moments of complicity, they discover that their differences are a source of richness. Together, they join forces to create a rainbow where each color, contributed by a character, illustrates a value: courage, friendship, solidarity, etc., forming a collective and joyful work that lights up the stage and hearts.
Inspired by Contes à Paillettes, Nöxïmä Marley is a show that unravels the clichés of children's fairy tales. It's a way of exploring questions of equality, inclusivity and difference in high heels and fancy dress, by giving the usual story roles a makeover. Here, witches are mischievous and princesses take their destiny into their own hands to set off on adventures. As for the princes, they're not necessarily charmingly charming!
Mother of the House of Marley, Nöxïmä Marley is head of Strasbourg's leading drag-queen house. DRessed As a GirlThis drama queen is the mistress of ceremonies at a whole host of events celebrating an art without frontiers, where anyone can invent themselves and be whatever they want to be. From La Grenze to The People Hostel, her events range from drag quizzes and bingo to aperitifs and children's tea parties (Once upon a drag) and Just dance contest. In 2024, the House of Marley even went on the road, to the four corners of France, to showcase its talents, spread and disseminate queer culture. As part of Visibility Month, it organized the Délicieusement drag festival in collaboration with Espace K, to promote its entire spectrum (dance, show, theater...) around self-acceptance and difference.
