WARÉ MONO
KAORI ITO
TJP CDN Strasbourg
This show was born of the need to repair childhood wounds, drawing inspiration from Kintsugi - the Japanese art of restoring broken objects not by concealing the cracks, but by sublimating them with gold. Accompanied by a puppet in the making, Kaori Ito and Issue Park create a ritual of repair. Through dance, these beings become animals or monsters, twins or enemies. In the tradition of World upside downKaori Ito involved children as experts in the creative process.
